Project Summary
Evaluator: Scott Beers
This beautiful home in Delaplane, VA needed to replace their old insulation and correct a few issues to become more comfortable and energy efficient before this winter!
This is the attic before Comfenergy started. Old, nasty, fiberglass batts...even an old whole house attic fan to suck the energy right out of the home!
The insulation was removed and disposed. The attic floor was air sealed using one part foam. Even can light covers were used to air seal and prevent the possibility of a fire.
New attic depth measuring sticks were stapled in place.
New soffit air baffles were installed to handle the newly installed TruSoft cellulose and allow the attic to ventilate properly.
Comfenergy employee blowing in new TruSoft cellulose. This is not an easy job!
Comfenergy even installed a storage deck with dams to prevent the TruSoft cellulose form falling onto the storage deck. Complete with a new zippered Attic Tent around the pull down stairs.
