Challenge

This Paeonian Springs, VA homeonwer was experiencing cold floors, drafts, and high utility bills.

Solution

Comfenergy tackled it all by encapsulating the crawl space beneath the home. This conditions the crawl and brings it "inside the building envelope". Now the floors are warm, there are less drafts, and the bills will be going down. You can pay us and be comfortable, or pay the utility company and be uncomfortable!!!

It was a tight squeeze but we are used to these working conditions!

Here is a before picture...poor vapor barrier, fiberglass batts (not good), and no insulation on the walls.....this all ads up to cold floors, drafts, and high utility bills!!!

Look how leaky the rim joists in the crawl were....see all the gaps between the pieces of wood? This allows air to leak in and out causing comfort and energy issues.

The finished product. 20 mil CleanSpace vapor barrier, and closed cell spray foam insulation to the rescue!
