Garage Workshop-Ashburn, VA

Challenge

This Ashburn, VA homeowner wanted to make their garage into a heated and cooled workshop.  Presently it was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.  Even with a space heater the heat left the garage too quickly.

Solution

Comfenergy air sealed and insulated the attic above the garage to an R49 levl to be above the present code.  Then we dense packed the walls of the garage without even removing the drywall.  Small holes were drilled int he drywall for access and then we dense packed the walls with TruSoft cellulose insulation.

Now this homeowner can enjoy working in the garage all year round!!!
