Crack on a 19 year old home foundation in Vienna, VA
This crack occurred from hydrostatic pressure on the exterior wall of the front of this home. This allowed water to pool in behind the insulation that was taken down to expose the crack. The customer could use products like Waterguard from Basement Systems to take the water and direct to a Basement Systems Triple Safe Sump Pump System to keep this basement dry all the time. Then they could upgrade the builder insulation to Foam Max insulation from Dr. Energy for keeping the unfinished basement walls insulated properly with an air barrier.
