Photo Album: Insulating Sunroom in Catlett, VA

A Catlett, VA homeonwer had a sunroom that was uncomfortable all year round. To fix this problem, our Comfenergy production team did several things. First, we removed and disposed of the existing insulation in his attic. We air sealed and insulated the attic by closing all accessible penetrations and top plates using expanding polyurethane foam and then blew in cellulose insulation. Then, we sprayed an average of 2" spray foam to the underside of the sunroom and installed R-15 batts of Rockwool under that. Finally, to seal and protect the insulation, we installed drywall under the Rockwool.
