Photo Album: Attic & Garage Ceiling Insulation in Linden, VA

A homeowner in Linden, VA needed insulation in both their attic and garage ceiling to make their home more comfortable throughout the year. Comfenergy removed the old and dirty existing insulation from the attic and disposed of it. Once the attic was nice and clean, we air sealed it by closing all accessible penetrations and top plates using expanding polyurethane foam. We then blew in cellulose insulation to an R49 value and installed dams around the attic hatch. Next, our production team insulated and airsealed the ceiling over the garage with dense-pack TruSoft cellulose insulation. The ceiling bays were accessed from the exterior of the house by removing siding.
