Not every home should have an attic fan. Most consumers do not realize that adding an attic fan can possibly increase your home’s electric bills drastically.
What does an attic fan do?
During the summer, an attic fan removes hot air from the attic and draws air from outside the home into the attic to ventilate the space. This air should not come from within the home. If the fan is not properly sealed and ventilated, you could draw the cold air out of your living space through your attic and thereby increase your electricity bills.
