Photo Album: Winchester VA attic Insulation and Air Seal

This Winchester VA home needed to have the attic air sealed and have its old ineffective insulation removed and replaced with new material.  After our sales professional Jason Brown identified the solutions needed to help make this home more comfortable, our team went to work.  The old insulation was removed and then ZypFoam was used to seal up all of the small cracks, gaps, and holes where conditioned air was able to pass through from the rooms below into the attic where it would eventually leave the home.  Can light covers were used to put over any lights that were coming up from the attic floor.  Once the air sealing was done, the team blew in TruSoft cellulose insulation across the entire attic and even covered some of the HVAC ductwork to better protect it.  The end result will help to reduce the energy costs for the homeowner and make the home more comfortable.
