Photo Album: Purcellville VA Attic Insulation Upgrade
This Purcellville Virginia Attic had dirty porous insulation that was proving to be ineffective at providing adequate coverage. This was causing discomfort in the living spaces underneath causing the house to be too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Our sales professional Pedro did a full inspection of the home and determined that the attic had no proper air seal and that the fiberglass batt insulation was causing uncontrolled air to seep into the living spaces. Pedro identified a variety of solutions to solve the discomfort. First, we removed and disposed of the existing insulation. When cleared, we installed ZypFoam spray to seal gaps in the attic. Then we used closed cell spray foam within the knee wall preventing uncontrolled hot or cold air from entering the home. Finally, we used TruSoft cellulose insulation to air seal the attic to make sure the attic is completely encapsulated.
