This Arlington, VA home was completely lacking insulation in its attic. This was having a serious negative impact on the level of comfort in the home. When our sales professional Greg went out to the property to perform a full home inspection he determined that the best course of action to end their discomfort would be to completely air seal and insulate the attic. Greg explained to the homeowners that the primary cause of their discomfort was the uncontrolled unconditioned air that was leaking out from the attic. After the homeowners agreed to Greg's solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by applying ZypFoam air sealant to the attic floor to stop any leaks from making their way into the living spaces. Then they installed the new TruSoft cellulose insulation to keep all the rooms below the attic comfortable. After that, they applied spray foam insulation to the ventilation to keep the attic from affecting the temperature of the air flowing through it. Finally, The crew installed our insulated hatch cover to the entrance of the attic to add the last layer of protection.
