This Leesburg, VA home was suffering from a drafty attic that was leaving the home too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. This was having a serious negative impact on the comfort level of the home. When our sales professional Tim went out to the property to perform a full home inspection, he determined that the best course of action to end their discomfort would be to completely air seal the attic and install new high-end insulation. Tim explained to the homeowners that the primary cause of their discomfort was the lack of quality insulation that would allow the attic to maintain a suitable temperature. After the homeowners agreed to Tim's solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by ripping out and disposing of the old low-grade insulation. Then they installed SilverGlo rigid foam blocks on the attic walls. After that, they applied ZypFoam air sealant on the SilverGlo and the attic floor to make sure no uncontrolled air would leak into the living spaces. Finally, the crew installed new TruSoft cellulose insulation to keep the home comfortable year-round.
