This Front Royal, VA home was suffering from rooms being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. This resulted in poor comfort for the homeowners throughout the home. Our sales professional Tim visited the clients to perform a full home inspection and find the best possible solution to the homeowner’s discomfort. After completing the inspection Tim was able to identify that the primary cause of their discomfort was a lack of quality insulation leading to uneven temperatures. He determined that the best course of action to address the discomfort in the home would be to replace all of the current insulation and air seal the attic. Our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crew started by removing and disposing of all the old ineffective insulation that had originally led to the discomfort. After that, they applied ZypFoam air sealant to all of the gaps in the floor to make sure no uncontrolled and unconditioned air from the attic would make its way into the living spaces below. Finally, the crew installed the new TruSoft cellulose insulation to keep the home comfortable year-round. Improved comfort and reduced costs for energy were an added result.
