Photo Album: Annandale VA Top Floor Comfort Solutions Spray Foam

These Annandale VA homeowners called us due to concerns with the rooms on the top floor of their home being uncomfortable at different times of the year.  The daughters rooms on the front of the house were too hot in the Summer and the master bedroom on the back of the house was too cold in the winter.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Carl was able to identify several areas of the house that could be treated to help improve these comfort issues, one of which was the insulation need in the cantilevers of the home.  Cantilevers hang over the external wall of the lower floors and allow some uncontrolled air flow into the top floors of a house if not properly air sealed and insulated.  Part of the project designed by Carl involved opening the cantilevers, removing the insufficient insulation inside and then sealing them up with Spray Foam.  Spray Foam works to insulate and air seal, helping reduce the need to heat or cool these previously uncomfortable rooms, which will save the homeowners money on their energy bills.
