Old Dirty Attic Insulation
The existing insulation in this attic was insufficient and dirty. Dirty insulation is a sign of uncontrolled air in the home. Dust moves in and around the attic and is trapped in insulation, making it dirty and darker than normal.
Sagging Vent Ducts
These vent ducts were loosely hanging from the roof frame and rafters. Dirty old insulation was piled across the attic surface.
Old Fiberglass Insulation
These pieces of old batt insulation would be removed before air sealing the attic surface and filling the space with blown cellulose insulation.
Vent Duct Improvement
Our production team properly secured these vent ducts eliminating sagging and bends where possible. spray Foam insulation was used at the exhaust point to make sure the vented air is not able to leak into the attic air.
Attic Air Sealing
All of the gaps cracks and seams in the attic surface were air sealed with Zyp Foam. This will help to eliminate conditioned air leakage, keeping the rooms below the attic more comfortable with more even temperatures.
Attic Walk Way
Attic decking was installed to hold the Tru Soft blown cellulose insulation in place and to allowing for walking and storage space in the attic.
Blown Cellulose Insualtion
Tru Soft Cellulose Insulation fills the attic surface on top of the air sealing.
Blown Insulation
Tru Soft cellulose insulation is treated to help deter infestation from rodents and birds, in addition to being an excellent insulator.
Attic Decking
This space now allows for more access in and around the attic along with safe storage space.
