Attic Insulation for Pest Control

Thursday, April 11th, 2019 by John LeVan

The following is a matrix that compares some of the features of TruSoft Insulation to TAP, a competitive brand of cellulose that pesticide companies use.

The primary difference in these materials is the percentage of Boric Acid that is contained in the formula.  Boric Acid can serve to dry the exoskeleton of insects and creates a hostile environment for rodents.

TruSoft remains effective at accomplishing those tasks, but has not been tested as a "Pesticide" and therefore cannot make that claim.  Both products serve the purpose of creating a hostile environment for insects and rodents, two concerns in attic insulation.
