Lots of Dust and Dirt

The yucky insulation is removed and properly disposed of.
Air Sealing the attic floor.
With the attic cleaned up, it's much easier to air seal. All cracks and penetrations are sealed up with polyurethane foam.
Radiant Barrier is Applied
Stefans' Radiant Barrier is applied to the underside of the roof rafters. This will reflect radiant roof heat away from the attic.
Duct Encapsulation
The duct system in the attic is encapsulated with closed cell spray foam.
Chimney Chase is Sealed
The chimney chase is sealed with metal flashing, fire caulk, and wrapped with a rock wool sleeve.
Scuttle Cover is insulated.
The scuttle cover is air sealed and insulated with SilverGlo.
