Attic Insulation Photo Album: Leesburg VA Attic Insulation Enhancement
This Leesburg VA attic had ineffective insulation that was providing inadequate coverage and was causing discomfort in the rooms below. When the customers called they said that the rooms below the attic were constantly too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. When our sales professional Eric arrived he gave the owners a free full home efficiency inspection to determine the problem. When Eric finished he found the best solution would be to improve the coverage and quality of the insulation in the attic and to make sure the ventilation that ran through the attic was properly air sealed. The lack of a proper air seal was causing conditioned air from the HVAC system to leak into the attic wasting energy. On top of that, the insufficient coverage from the insulation was causing uncontrolled and unconditioned air to seep into the home through the attic and into the living spaces. Our production team fixed these issues by air sealing the exposed ventilation shafts in the attic and installing a new layer of TruSoft cellulose insulation to regulate external temperatures that entered the home.
