  This Catharpin, VA home was suffering a home that was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. This was having a serious negative impact on the comfort level of the home. Our sales professional Tim went out to the property to perform a full home inspection. Tim found that the primary cause of their discomfort was a lack of air sealing allowing unconditioned air to flow freely out of the attic and the ineffective insulation allowing the house to become too hot and too cold. He determined that the best course of action to end their discomfort would be to completely air seal the attic and get new high-quality insulation.  After the homeowners agreed to Tim's solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by Removing all of the old ineffective insulation. After that, they applied ZypFoam air sealant to plug all the leaks in the attic floor that had allowed uncontrolled unconditioned air to flow freely into the living spaces of the home. Finally, the crew installed the new TruSoft cellulose insulation evenly across the attic to keep the home comfortable year-round.
