Attic Insulation Photo Album: Waterford, VA Attic Upgrade

This Waterford, VA home had several rooms that were too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. This was having a negative impact on the comfort level of the home and homeowners. Our sales professional Jason went out to the property to perform a full home inspection and find the best possible solution to help improve the situation.   Jason was able to determine that the primary cause for the discomfort in the home was the existing attic insulation which had been failing to provide adequate coverage. The solution would be to replace all of the old insulation with higher-quality alternatives. After the homeowners agreed to Jason's solution our service crews went out to get to work on the home. The crews started by removing and disposing of all of the old ineffective insulation. Then they installed SilverGlo rigid foam insulation on the attic walls. After that, they applied spray foam insulation to the walls that could not have SilverGlo properly installed on them. Finally, the crew installed new TruSoft cellulose insulation on the attic floor as the primary insulator to keep the home comfortable year round.  Improved comfort due to even temperatures throughout the home and reduced energy costs would accompany the finalized work.
