Air Sealing In progress
Once the old insulation was removed and MoldX2 components were sprayed into the attic ZypFoam was used to seal up the small cracks and gaps where air had been able to escape.
Air Seal and Spray Foam
ZypFoam seals up the small cracks and Spray Foam is used to help seal up and insulate the HVAC duct joints in this attic.
Old Insulation Needing Removal
This old insulation which had become home to pests, needed to be removed so that the space could be cleaned and air sealed.
Old Insulation
Once removed, this space will be better treated with an air seal and improved insulation to help make the performance of the attic more beneficial to the energy use in the home.
Old Insulation
Not only was this old insulation material welcoming to pests, but it was not burying the HVAC ducts, leaving them open to impact from the hot attic temperatures in the summer and cold attic temperatures in the winter.
Attic After
TruSoft cellulose insulation was blown in to fill up this attic after spray foam, air seal and MoldX2 was applied.
Air Seal
ZypFoam was used to help create a proper air seal in the attic.
TruSoft Cellulose Insulation
TruSoft cellulose insulation was blown in to fill up this attic after spray foam, air seal and MoldX2 was applied. Burying the HVAC ducts helps to protect the conditioned air travelling inside of them.
