Attic Insulation Photo Album: Springfield VA Attic Insulation and Air Seal

This Springfield VA home was experiencing comfort issues that lead the homeowner to call us for help.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Eric went to visit the homeowner and perform a full home inspection.  He identified an inefficient amount of insulation on the attic and a lack of an air seal.  This meant that conditioned air (heated or cooled by the HVAC system) was escaping from the rooms it was intended to heat or cool and leading to different temperatures from one are of the home to another.  Our production team went in and added Zyp Foam to seal up any cracks and gaps in the home where air was escaping into the attic and then added Tru Soft cellulose blown insulation to properly create an effective level of insulation.  This would all help to reduce the need for the HVAC system to run, saving the homeowner money on energy costs and improving the comfort levels throughout the home.
