Poor Insulation.
This fiberglass insulation (YELLOW) packed in the rim joist of the home did nothing to eliminate air flow in and out of the house. Spray foam would be used to properly air seal and insulate.
Air Sealing with Zyp Foam
After removing the old insulation, Zyp Foam was used to air seal the attic, keeping conditioned air from escaping the rooms below.
Panel Insulation
Silver Glo panel insulation pieces were cut to fit the small holes in the attic wall frame. Zyp Foam was used to air seal them.
Spray Foam Rim Joists
Air sealed and insulated, this will help keep external air from entering the lower part of the home.
Blown In Cellulose Insulation
Tru soft cellulose insulation fills the whole attic now.
