Attic Before
Old insulation hanging loosely from the walls was not performing as needed, leaving the home uncomfortable.
Attic Before
Here we see the project design and instructions created by our Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro.
Attic Before
Open attic floor framing left little opportunity to use the space in the attic for storage. The ceiling below also allowed for air to move freely with no air seal or insulation.
Attic Insulation project
More direction and planning for the project created by Pedro.
Insulated Attic Walls
Foamax panels now line the walls and the underside of the roof. This puts the insulation directly on the surfaces that are opposite outside, allowing for more use of the inside space in the attic.
Insulated Wall and Air Seal
The underside of this roof, serves as a slanted wall for the attic. It is covered with Foamax Insulation paneling and Zyp Foam has been used to air seal any gaps or cracks where air was previously able to move freely.
Enclosed knee wall
Insulation on the walls, air sealing the gaps between and attic floor decking now makes this a space able to be used for storage if needed.
Insulated Knee Wall
This space is now able to be used for storage and is closed off from any outside temperature or air influence.
