Attic Insulation Photo Album: Falls Church VA Attic Panel Insulation and Cellulose Insulation

This Falls Church VA home was uncomfortable to the homeowners and expensive to keep heated and cooled at different times of year. The homeowners contacted our team to find out if we could develop a solution to help. After a visit from our Home Performance Sales Pro Greg, who performed a whole home inspection, a project was designed and put into action. Our Production Crew removed all of the old insulation from the attic before installing Silver Glo insulation paneling to several wall sections, built up a damning and deck frame throughout the attic to allow for access to needed spaces and retention of the new insulation, air sealed the entire space with Zyp Foam and then filled the open areas of the attic with Tru Soft blown insulation. The end result of this attic project is a home that is more energy efficient and more comfortable year round.

The joints of this HVAC duct tubing were allowing conditioned air to escape. This would later be properly buried in blown insulation.

Attic Decking Construction

This frame will allow for space to move about the attic and will hold the Tru Soft cellulose in place behind the walling. Silver Glo panel insulation was used to cover the walls in this area with Zyp Foam air sealing it all.
