Attic Insulation Photo Album: Ashburn VA Attic Insulation and Air Sealing

This attic was under performing, leaving the homeowners uncomfortable and with high energy bills.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro performed an inspection and was able to determine the cause, as well as develop a project plan to fix it.  Removal of the existing insulation was needed to expose the attic floor so that it could be air sealed with Zyp Foam.  This would help to control the conditioned air in the rooms below and keep it from escaping into the attic.  The HVAC duct mixer boxes were lso leaking conditioned air into the attic.  Spray Foam would be used to solve this problem.  Finally the whole space was filled with Tru Soft blown in cellulose insulation.
