This homeowner in Herndon VA called us due to an uncomfortable top floor that was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Our Home Performance Sales Pro Jon visited to do a free whole home inspection and designed an attic project that would help address the comfort issues and save the homeowners money on their energy bills. Adding spray Foam insulation, Silver Glo insulation wall panels, a radiant barrier, Tru Soft cellulose insulation and a new attic hatch door cover helped to eliminate uncontrolled air in the attic and leveled off the attics ability to stay cooler in summer and warmer in the winter.

Radiant Barrier in Attic

A radiant barrier here will reduce the heat that is able to pass through the roof and heat up the attic in the summer. Keeping the space more evenly controlled will improve the comfort in the rooms below.
