Attic Insulation Photo Album: Woodbridge VA Top Floor Too Hot

This Woodbridge VA homeowner called our team because the top floor of their house was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.  They wanted to see if we could help make the top floor more comfortable all year long and let our Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro come visit to do a full home inspection to see how it would be possible.  Pedro designed an attic project that would address uncontrolled air flow with air sealing, improved insulation, bathroom exhaust pipe extension and venting, along with attic hatch sealing and more.  Our production team removed the existing insulation to expose the attic floor and allow for the use of Zyp Foam to seal up the gaps and cracks where air was able to freely pass.  Tite Shell can light covers were installed to hold in air and heat in the rooms below the attic.  Tru Soft cellulose insulation was later blown in to fill the attic space and provide a proper R value for the home.  This would all help reduce the energy costs of the home and allow the top floor to be more comfortable than it had been in years.
