Attic Insulation Photo Album: Herndon VA Hot Top Floor

This Herndon VA homeowner wanted to make the top floor of their home more comfortable year round. They had found that the top floor of the home was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Our Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro went out to inspect the home and discovered an opportunity in the attic where air sealing, a radiant barrier and better insulation would help. Our production crew removed all of the existing insulation, air sealed the attic surface with Zyp Foam and then installed a radiant barrier on the under side of the roof before blowing in Tru Soft cellulose insulation to fill the space. This will all help to reduce the temperature in the attic and help keep conditioned air from escaping the rooms below into the attic, all resulting in a more comfortable home and lower energy bills.
