Old Insulation
Fiberglass insulation stuffed between the framing of the attic was not keeping air flow from happening. The dirty sections of the insulation show where dirt and dust are trapped in the insulation while moving through the attic air.
Missing Insulation
With no insulation in some sections of the attic space, the room below was not protected or prepared to hold in heat or cold.
Old Insulation
More fiberglass insulation showing dirty spots at the base. This was where dust and allergens were able to flow freely through the attic air in and out of the home.
Insufficient Insulation
Insulation had been blown in for some areas of the attic but was not enough to cover the surface and HVAC duct system. this would result in uneven insulation for the rooms below.
Excess Insulation
Piling insulation on top of old insulation will not deliver the needed results. Removing and air sealing the attic walls and surface should be done before apply any type of insulation.
Insulation Panels
Silver Glo insulation panels were installed and air sealed with Zyp Foam. This prevents uncontrolled air flow and holds the temperature in the attic steady.
Wall Insulation
Silver Glo insulation panels were placed over the framing of the attic supports. This creates a clear air seal and controls the temperature inside of the attic better than the old fiberglass insulation which was stuffed in before.
Air Sealing
Eliminating air flow in an attic can keep external temperatures from impacting the space and can help keep the temperature comtrolled in the home and rooms below.
Attic Entry Seal
Properly sealing the attic entry will stop conditioned air from escaping the rooms it is intended to heat or cool and will help maintain even temperatures year round.
