Attic Insulation Photo Album: Stafford Virginia Attic Insulation

These homeowners in Stafford Virginia wanted to low the cost of heating and cooling their home.  Our Certified Home Performance Sales Pro Pedro went out to perform a free inspection to design a plan to help.  Pedro found that the home has inefficient, old and compacted insulation in the attic along with lots of uncontrolled air leakage.  The heated and cooled air made by the HVAC system of the home was escaping, causing more run time for the utilities and high energy bills.   Our production team removed all the old insulation and then used Zyp Foam to seal up the gaps and cracks in the attic surface that were allowing for conditioned air to leak out.  They built a decking area to allow access and a storage space and then finally blew in Tru Soft cellulose insulation.  This attic will not properly help the rooms below retain the conditioned air used to heat and cool them, in turn, lowering the energy bills.
