Round Hill homeowner wanted to increase their attic insulation without losing their attic storage space. The main idea was to lower utility costs and draftiness in the winter.
This brick chimney allowed drafts down it during the winter.
The new pop-top chimney cap allows the homeowner to pull a spring loaded chain to close this drafty chase (chimney) when not in use.
A portion of the attic before Comfenergy's work.
The new zippered attic tent to keep heated air from escaping the home.
Installing storage decking "dams" to keep blown in TruSoft cellulose from blowing onto the attic storage deck.
The "dams" after installation.
Making sure we got good coverage with the closed cell spray foam insulation.
Cleaning up our work is one of the things that separates us from the rest. Know anyone else who would vacuum your attic when done?????
