I asked Comfenergy to evaluate two problems I was having. First, I noticed rust stains on my ceiling ducts as well as bits of insulation coming out of them. Second, the master bedroom was noticeably hotter in the summer and colder in the winter than the other bedrooms. While Justin was there, I asked him to evaluate the entire house to see if I had other issues that affected its energy efficiency. Justin did a very thorough evaluation. He demonstrated and explained everything to me in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner. What I appreciated the most though was his honesty. He told me that the issues with the ducts needed to be fixed but found that everything else was in good working order. I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me something that I didn’t need but gave me an honest evaluation of my home’s energy efficiency and provided a solution that worked to address the one issue I had.

Wow! Comfenergy came to our house to conduct an energy assessment, and it far exceeded our expectations. With a special tool, Justin basically x-rayed our walls and was able to clearly show where we were losing energy in our home. He was able to determine that the builder had left some insulation out of one of our walls when the house was built, which ultimately contributed to our temperature control problems. He then gave us a three-tiered approach to correcting our situation. We highly recommend Comfenergy to solve insulation and energy loss problems. You have to see it to believe it!

Our main concern was the third floor and how warm it gets in the summer and no matter how many fans we had running it was still uncomfortable. After Pedro inspected, it was discovered that we were mostly losing energy in the attic and our ducts. They cleaned out our old attic insulation (and dust) and then added a radiant barrier to the attic and sealed our dusts, improving things almost immediately. now the third floor is the same temp as the main level of our townhouse in Reston.
