This Arlington VA home has a design feature commonly referred to as a cantilever, where a portion of the home hangs out wider than the rooms below it leaving open air at the lowest point of the floor. If that flooring is not insulated, the external air temperatures can impact the living space inside of the home. Pictured here you can see Ariel Campos removing the external base of the cantilever and applying spray foam inside to act as insulation. This will keep outside temperatures from impacting the home and will contribute to a more comfortable living space.
