Sound Insulation - Fairfax Station, VA

Challenge

This Fairfax Station, VA homeowner was finishing their basement and wanted sound reduction insulation in the ceiling. That way, they can show movies in the basement without interrupting the guests upstairs.

Solution

Rock wool batts of insulation were installed in the ceiling before the drywall was installed. The general contractor is also going to install 2 layers of drywall on the basement ceiling to help lessen sound travel to the above living spaces!
