Basement Water Management System - Front Royal, VA

Challenge

This Front Royal, VA basement had water seeping into the basement on two walls. Handling the water intrusion issue from outside the home was cost prohibittive.

Solution

A water management system was installed including a drain curtain and water collection system at the base of the wall. A sump pump was also installed to evacuate the water once it was collected at the base of the wall. This basement is now rennovation ready.

Project Summary

Evidence of water damage from a recent flood.

The process starts with jack hammering out a trench near the wall.

Material is removed to allow for installation of a drain tile.

Trench is shaping up.

An existing drain tile was found.

Drainage curtain was cut to size.

Drain curtain installed on seeping wall. This will collect water seeping in and direct it to the drain tile below.

Gravel is installed in the trench.

Concrete to restore the floor is mixed up.

Trench is ready for concrete.

Concrete is troweled into trench, completing the job!
