Crawl Space Mold - Berryville, VA

This Berryville, VA homeowner hired another contractor 2 years ago to "insulate" their crawl space. Ever since then, they had experienced musty, mildew odors in the home. So, they called Comfenergy to investigate. It was determined that the actual type of insulation and the way it was previously installed had created a small amount of mold in the crawl and the odor was spreading throughout the home.

Solution

Comfenergy put together a comprehensive plan to remove the mold and then properly encapsulate the crawl space so it will not come back.

This Berryville, VA home was hiding odors and mold beneath its floors due to another contractor improperly "insulating" the crawl space.

Notice there is NO insulation at the top of the crawl space, as Comfenergy has removed it.

Fiberglass absorbs moisture and it not good for subterranean installations. Here, you can see the production crew installing new "dimple matting" to allow the floor of the crawl to stay dry.
