Insulation Removal
We removed the cantilever ceiling and removed the old insulation.
SilverGlo Foam Block
The drywall is taken down and a SilverGlo foam block is installed to block the bay.
Spray Foam
Polyurethane foam is sprayed over the block and on the bottom of the floor deck to stop air flow and insulate.
Fiberglass Batting
After there is a layer of spray foam, the rest of the air space is filled with fiberglass batting.
Ceiling Re-installed
Drywall is re-installed and sealed
Finished Cantilever
The ceiling is painted and finished. The homeowners now have much warmer kitchen floors above this cantilever.
