Old Insulation
Over time attic insulation under performs because of a build-up of dirt, dust and/or moisture.
Under performing insulation means increased energy bills.
The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that improper or old under performing attic insulation can increase your heating and cooling costs by 10 to 50 percent.
Old insulation can be contaminated from rodents and pests.
Insulation that is contaminated due to a rodent infestation or mold and mildew can pose a serious health risk to the people living in your home. It needs to be removed.
