Quite often when cable lines, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, etc. are added to rooms adjacent to an attic, the wiring is run in the attic. As the penetrations are made for the installation, the insulation must be moved out of the way. We find a lot of instances where the insulation was never put back in place. This results in bare drywall being the only thing between this room and a 140 degree attic in the summer and a 10 degree attic in the winter.
