Attic Insulation - A New England Style Roof
This photo just shows you what the exterior of this lovely home is like to give you an idea of what the Cape Cod style roof is like. It is a little tough to see here, but essentially it a roof with a pretty steep pitch (roughly a 12 inch increase in height with every 12 inches in depth). This pitch creates kneewalls which are like the small crawl spaces created when you wall up the attic so that you have flat walls around all 4 sides. In this case you cannot see where the floor meets the roof, but it is important to have proper insulation back there.
