"The job for us was a big decision. Got three quotes and decided that Comfenergy had the skill set, materials, and scientific backing to make the decision to go with them easier. The bid I received was very detailed. Carl answered all of my questions and my changes to the SOW were agreed upon to remove the old 4-inches of insulation, seal all of the opening in the attic, encapsulate the can lights, install two bath fans, and an accompanying vent thru the roof, and spray in TruSoft Cellulose insulate to R49. Two weeks later, Robert and his additional crew of two called me 30 minutes out and they came prepared, organized, and with all of the materials listed in the bid. They were thorough and detail oriented the three days they were on the job. Robert spoke with me if there were any issues periodically throughout the day. First day they removed the old insulation, began sealing the deck of the attic, on the second day completed sealing of the deck and insulated half of the attic and installed the new bathroom fans and the accompanying insulated vent lines with installation of the vent in the roof professionally accomplished. On the third day they completed the insulation, and electrical connections for the fans. All work was completed in accordance with the bid and looked professionally completed. I was particularly impressed with how the crew worked with each other and completed tasks on their own."

Carlos and his team are quite the asset to Comfenergy - they are a testament to high quality workmanship. They were able to finish what would have been a 3 day job of complete removal of existing insulation, foam sealing the entire attic floor with enclosures for light fixtures, installation of radiant heat shield, installation of baffles, and thereafter blow in new fiberglass insulation in 2 days. "Comfenergy did a fantastic job on reinsulating my house that I think presented many unique issues.  The house was built in 1950 and since it is a cape cod there are many slanted areas below the roof and above the living areas that were very difficult to insulate. However, the recent snowfall shows Comfenergy did an outstanding job because the snow on the roof didn’t melt as readily as has done in the past.  The snow didn’t melt for days showing there was very little heat loss through the roof. The work done by Comfenergy was done when they said it would be. The workers arrived promptly and worked quickly to accomplish the removal of the old insulation and then install the new insulation.  The home was left with no trace that they had even been there. I would call their execution flawless."

I want to thank the company and acknowledge the professional analysis conducted today by Mr. Mike Dowling. My home is about 200 years old and although not that  unusual in Loudoun is complicated from the energy assessment requirements. Mr. Dowling was patient, thorough and extremely helpful in my new understanding of the options available for a home built with totally different energy considerations compared to the modern home - yet with possibly even more critical energy consumption considerations compared to an earlier time.  Thanks again to comfenergy and to the services of Mike....Larry

He then took the time to listen to my concerns and offered up some ideas on how we could address our problem (all incredibly affordable!). Comfenergy came out and removed our existing insulation, air-sealed our attic, and then installed new insulation. Our electric bills have been cut in half and our attic looks amazing. We were able to change the method of fire proofing with the project underway - good flexibility. Only company to explain health and safety issues!! This was also the only company of four that gave an appraisal that provided health and safety information on the product and how ventilation should be performed!!!
