The product we will use to insulate this chimney chase is called SilverGlo. SilverGlo is an insulation that is a rigid foam board. This products is made of several layers that all have reflective coating, making this not only a physical thermal insulator, but also effective as radiant barrier. Radiant barrier is a reflective agent that keeps external heat out. SilverGlo is a product only available to those in the Dr. Energy Saver dealership which Comfenergy is a part of. SilverGlo is infused with graphite powder that makes it superior to other rigid foam board insulators.
