Woodbridge VA Attic Air Sealing

Any proper attic insulation project should include air sealing.  Often times we find clients who previously worked with other companies and the only thing they did was add insulation on top of what was originally there.  We make sure to take the extra time and remove existing insulation so that we can use Zyp Foam to seal up all of the gaps, cracks and seams in the attic floor.  This helps prevent conditioned air loss from the rooms below, making homes more comfortable and energy efficient.  After air sealing, we blow in new Tru Soft cellulose insulation.

Occoquan VA Home Botanical Spray Before Insulation

This Occoquan VA home was found to have small amounts of mold behind some existing insulation.  We were tasked with removing the insulation in with the intent to replace it with a better quality product that would bring better results.  Before we could do so we had to treat the small amounts of mold with botanical spray.  It is a food grade mixture that is not harmful to people or pets but will kill and stop the spread of mold if caught early.  Here our technician is administering the botanical spray after the initial removal of the old insulation.

Springfield VA Attic Catwalk Project

This home had an attic that needed several upgrades.  In addition to removal of the old insulation along with air sealing and new cellulose insulation, our Production Team built a new catwalk and deck area which would allow access to the different ends of the attic space.  The walls of the decking will hold back the cellulose insulation after it is blown in.

Arlington, VA Spray Foam Attic Encapsulation

This home was looking to make the top floor more comfortable AND lower their utiltiy bills....all with one solution!!!

Arlington Attic Insulation and Decking Construction

This Arlington VA home needed an improvement in the attic to help better insulate the home and improve the comfort for the homeowners.  The existing insulation had gaps in between framing and the attic floor was not air sealed.  Our production team insulated below the existing attic decking and then built up walls around it to hold in the proper level of blown in cellulose insulation around it.  this helps to properly insulate the attic and also leaves a clean decking space for storage or access to walk around the space.
