Dumfries VA Duct Spray Foam Duct Insulation

This Dumfries VA home had condensation along the HVAC ducts (duct sweating) due to external heat making its way into the home via uninsulated rim joists on the side of the house.  Hot air from outside was working against the cold air moving through the HVAC ducts and causing the duct sweating which was showing itself as water spots on the basement ceiling drywall and mold.  Our production team encapsulated the duct with spray foam and then administered Aero Seal to the inside of the system to eliminate the opportunity for conditioned air to escape.  This process will stop the duct sweating and keep the conditioned air inside of the HVAC duct from experiencing any external temperature influence.  The air will reach the rooms it is intended to cool or heat and reduce the need for the HVAC system to work as hard as it had been. Improved comfort and reduced energy cost for the homeowner.

Dumfries VA spray Foam HVAC Duct Interchange

This Dumfries VA home was having comfort issues that the homeowner wanted to eliminate. They called us to come and help.  Our Home Performance Sales Pro Carl completed a no cost inspection of the whole home and identified a need for some work to be done in the attic which would help improve the comfort and energy efficiency of the home.  In addition to air sealing and installation of new Tru Soft cellulose insulation, Carl recommended having the HVAC duct sealed with spray foam at different points where joints and exchange boxes were allowing conditioned air to escape.

Woodbridge Bathroom Exhaust Vent Extension

This Woodbridge VA home had a top floor that was too hot.  During the Home Performance Inspection, our sales pro Pedro discovered an improperly design bathroom exhaust vent.  The vent extended just into the attic and was distributing air from the bathroom into the attic adding unnecessary moisture to the space.  Our team extended the vent and made it properly exhaust air outside of the home.
